Don Ufford Supporters Pack the Crofoot to Close the Fighting For Fairness Tour
Ufford closes the tour on top, with the most Cash On Hand in the race, the End Citizens United, Detroit News, and Arab American News endorsements, and more than 50 supporter-hosted events across Oakland County. And NO Corporate or AIPAC Money.

Oakland County, Michigan — When Friday night's candidate forum was postponed, Don Ufford's supporters showed up anyway. Team Ufford gathered fifty people at the Crofoot in Pontiac, the oldest commercial building in Oakland County, to close out the campaign's Fighting For Fairness tour, 17 days before the August 4 Democratic primary in Michigan's 11th Congressional District.
"I am not a career politician. I'm just a car guy running for Congress. I'm in this fight to bring down your costs, put Washington back on your side, and protect your freedoms. This is your campaign. I'm just the candidate," said Don Ufford at the event.
The night capped a two-week stretch that took Ufford across the district to reach voters at the doors, at events, and in the media. Ufford appeared on CBS Detroit, joined Rev. Horace Sheffield on The Wake Up Call, sat down with the Oakland County Times, and joined The Parnas Perspective. The tour also included visits at Welcome Missionary Baptist Church, Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, and Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.
Ufford enters the final stretch with the resources to win. New federal campaign finance filings show him with more cash on hand than any other candidate in the field, and he has outraised every candidate in the race since entering in August 2025. He did it while remaining the only major candidate in this race refusing money from Corporate PACs, Utility PACs, and AIPAC.

That approach earned him the endorsement of End Citizens United this week. The national anti-corruption organization backed Ufford through its Unrig Washington program, which supports candidates who reject corporate PAC money, support a ban on congressional stock trading, and work to end dark money in politics.
Ufford has also earned endorsements from the Detroit News editorial board and the Arab American News. Over the course of the campaign, supporters have hosted more than 50 events across Oakland County, opening their homes to talk with neighbors about the cost of living, healthcare, and who Washington actually works for.
"It’s clear which campaign is closing strongest in this race. That’s Don Ufford. This campaign is built to win,” said Campaign Manager Mark Goldenberg. “Let’s get to work.”
