Michiganders are struggling. Trump is attacking working people and our democracy every single day, and too many career politicians in DC and Lansing are sitting on their hands. Michigan families are struggling to afford their groceries, gas, and utilities, and are worried that their kids won't be able to find a good-paying job or ever buy a home. We need a member of Congress who gets it, and who will stand up and fight for working people. As an engineer, Don knows what it takes to build and fix things, and as a dad, he knows what it takes to raise a family here. From there, he built a future for himself as an engineer. While in college, Don had the opportunity to work with Ford and got hooked on automotive engineering and manufacturing. He worked his way up to become the Director of Global Vehicle Engineering.Over his career, Don has been at the epicenter of the Michigan economy. He and his team helped design and launch new products, like the first ever Ford Escape and new-improved versions of the Mustang and the legendary F-150, produced at the Rouge complex that is still in operation today and provides thousands of good-paying jobs.<h5>Service Beyond Ford</h5>In 2020, Don jumped into his next mission, serving in government to build a stronger economy in Michigan and across the country. We recommend you complete this process before July 14th. To request an absentee ballot in person: Show up at your city or township clerk's office. You can find your clerk's office and hours of operation <a href="https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/Voter/Index/#yourclerk" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">at this link</a>. You can request an absentee ballot in-person any time up until 4 pm on Monday, August 3rd.Once you have a ballot: Mark it, sign the return envelope, and return it by 8 pm on Election Day, August 4th.
