Engineer and Political Outsider Don Ufford Leads the Pack in Q3 Fundraising, Showing Growing Momentum in Michigan’s 11th Congressional District
Oakland County, Michigan — Today, Don Ufford’s congressional campaign announced that it led all candidates in Michigan’s 11th Congressional District in third-quarter fundraising, underscoring the growing enthusiasm and organizational strength behind his bid for Congress. Ufford raised more than $350,000 in just 34 days during the 3rd Quarter, more than any other candidate in the race. The strong showing is especially notable given that Ufford is a first-time candidate and not a career politician.
“This campaign is about building things here in Michigan, lowering costs for Michiganders, protecting our fundamental freedoms, and expanding access to quality healthcare,” said Ufford. “I’m not a politician. I’m an engineer, a builder, and a dad. Leading the field in fundraising as a first-time candidate shows that people are ready for new leaders who can get things done.”
“This campaign has the momentum and the message to win,” said Mark Goldenberg, Campaign Manager for Don Ufford for Congress. “Don’s record of real-world experience and building things here in Michigan is resonating with voters across Oakland County.”
Ufford’s campaign continues to focus on delivering solutions that matter most to working families:
Lower Costs for Michiganders: Take on rising costs by making everyday essentials more affordable.
Build Things Here in Michigan: Bring people together in Congress to strengthen manufacturing, expand apprenticeships and job training, and ensure Michigan workers benefit from fair trade and strong supply chains.
Protect and Expand Healthcare Access: Defend the Affordable Care Act, attack prescription drug prices, and ensure every Michigander can see a doctor when they need one.
Defend Our Rights: Stand up for reproductive freedom, voting rights, freedom of expression, and the core freedoms that make our democracy strong.
“I’m in this race to make life better for everyday Michiganders,” Ufford said. “We have the momentum, the message, and the resources to win. And we’re going to keep building every day.”
